The future of flounder fishing begins here...
Replica Program
The Program

In an effort to promote the catch and release of the big, genetically superior breeding female flounder, Flounder Revolution has created our flounder replica program with our partners the Coastal Conservation Association, Project: Zoo Quest and The Fish Mount Store who are providing the amazing replicas.

From March-November we will be taking submissions from anglers releasing flounder measuring 20 inches or more.

At the end of each month, the angler who submits the largest released flounder will receive a high quality fiberglass replica of their catch.

Then at the end of the nine-month cycle, the angler who submits the most flounder measuring 20 inches or more* will be our "Flounder Angler of the Year" and receive a special trophy,  a feature on your achievement in Texas Fish & Game magazine and prizes worth $1,000.

*In the event of a tie with anglers having same number of fish, the angler with the most total inches of flounder released will be the winner.

The Rules

  • Your catch  must be alive when measured, photographed and released.
  • Using your digital camera, you must take one photograph showing the fish with ruler and another showing the fish with the angler.
  • Both photographs most be from same camera.
  • For specific rules on shooting and submitting photos see box below.
  • Only a valid ruler, tape measure or measuring board will be accepted by for measuring the fish. This device must be displayed clearly in your fish with ruler photo. Flounder Revolution at its sole discretion, will disqualify anyone suspected of using an inaccurate measuring device or using unethical fishing tactics and practices. Winners may be asked to submit the measuring device, used in the tournament, for verification. Although not required a rigid ruler or hard tape measure will produce a more accurate measurement.

All claims and/or disputes will be examined, and all decision rendered by Flounder Revolution will be final.
